In Episode 31 of The Avery Trial, we hear from Lt. James Lenk. This is the detective who just "happened" to find the key inside Steven Avery's bedroom. The key that wasn't there on several other searches and just so happened to fit Teresa Halbach's vehicle.

But the weird thing is that the two officers who were constantly in Avery's home were the two Manitowoc officers who had just been deposed in Steven's $36 million lawsuit. Coincidence?

This case was first introduced to many through this documentary. We recommend watching it for broader context—but this podcast dives much deeper into the testimony and timeline.
