[TRUE CRIME ] - Ep. 22 - GABBY PETITO

In early July of 2021, a young woman and her fiance decided to downsize their lives and take themselves on a cross-country road trip. They had a 2012 Ford transit connect van and fixed it up to suit their upcoming lifestyle. 

During their road trip, she would document all of the different places her and her fiance would go on Instagram. 

On August 19, a video was posted to YouTube documenting their trip so far.

On August 27, the young woman’s mother would get a text from her daughter’s phone that she thought was strange. The message said “Can you help Stan, I just keep getting his voicemails and missed calls.” She last spoke with her daughter on August 25, 2021.

The reason the text was strange was because Stan was her daughter’s grandfather and she didn’t refer to him by his first name. She headed to the police to let them know about her concern.

It wasn’t until September 11, 2021, that this young woman, Gabby Petito, would be officially reported missing.
