Beginning in 1976, hundreds of letters accused residents of shocking secrets, infidelities, and crimes, turning neighbors into suspects and spreading paranoia. Explore the suspicious death of Ron Gillispie, the sinister booby trap aimed at Mary Gillispie, and the conviction of Paul Freshour—a man who maintained his innocence even as the letters continued during his imprisonment. Was this the work of one disturbed individual, or were there multiple writers hiding in plain sight?
